about us
We first met by chance - and the business at hand wasn't cherries.
Harald, however, had uniquely good cherry orchards in a unique corner of Denmark while Jan and Morten had both the knowledge and the aspiration to produce a dessert wine. Common to all three was the desire to move Danish agriculture away from industrial production to a world where the most most important parameter was quality.
After some years of research, cherry wine from Frederiksdal Manor was created.
HARALD KRABBE
Harald owns Frederiksdal Manor. After training as an agrarian economist he travelled to Africa where he learned the value of a healthy flora in the soil. This knowledge is now evident in Frederiksdal's cherry orchards. Harald sits on the board of the Danish Berries Organisation, among others, and was awarded Fruit Grower of the Year in 2010.

JAN FRIIS-MIKKELSEN
Jan is the head chef and restaurateur of ‘Tinggården', near Helsinge. Besides serving French-inspired food using the best possible Danish produce, he's known for his tireless efforts to better Danish food - a battle that has, among other things, led him to an award for 'raising Danish food culture' from the Danish Gastronomic Academy. Jan has also published several cookbooks and produced a cookery show on the Danish national broadcaster, DR, with Claus Meyer.
