The PROJEcT - in brief
We've been making fine cherry wine from fruit grown in our orchards since 2006.
Frederiksdal Manor lies on the westernmost point of the island of Lolland, minutes from the waters of the Langelandsbæltet strait - one of the warmest, sunniest corners of Denmark.
The climate's perfect for the cultivation of cherries. The abundant sun's reflected in the ocean; winters are mild; spring comes early. The long growing season expresses itself in the complexity and depth of the flavour of the fruit.
It's impossible to imagine a more magnificent origin for a dessert wine that holds its own against exquisite wines from Banyuls, Rivesaltes and Maury.
